On August 05 2002 The Organization of Woodland Lake Initiated this website.  Shortly thereafter the OWL board appointed a committee of three to oversee it.  That Committee consists of:

In just less than a year we have been recognized by the Detroit News, Livingston County Press / Brighton Argus, Spinal Column, Brighton Township, Yahoo! and Google among others.

We have dealt with many important OWL issues such as the Large Mouth Bass Virus, Rezoning, the floating Island, Sewers, legal issues and many others.

We have also published a wealth of research and information about Woodland lake in specific and lakes in general.  This has led to us being considered a premier non-commercial information site for all lake riparians.

Since January first of this year we boast approximately 1432 Unique visitors from many domains/countries including:

Due to the in depth informative nature of the site we seem to be able to hold visitors attention for a significant time as is evidenced by the following chart on visit duration.

We have also received some praise as can be evidenced by our guest book entries and feedback to the webmaster.

In the future we hope to expand not only our OWL specific information but also our general lake information this will continue to keep our membership informed and up to date and will also provide a quality lake and fresh water reference on the web.
