Petition Verbiage from Woodland Lake Sewer Petition

We the undersigned, together with other petitioners on petitions similar to this petition, representing the record land owners of more than fifty (50%) percent of the property owners of the total land area within the proposed district, hereby petition the Brighton Township Board to create a special assessment district for the purpose of constructing and installing sanitary sewers in the Woodland / Clark Lakes Sewer District area.  Such sanitary sewer mains will be located along the following streets and roads in the proposed special assessment district:  Clark Lake Road, Hacker Road, Almashy Drive, Hilton Road, Oak Knoll Drive, Causeway Drive, Beajo Drive, Hilton Bay, Hunter Road, Hunter Bay, Hunter Grove, Lake Bluff Drive, Hidden Cove Court, Hideway Beach Drive, Hideway Circle, Carols Drive, and Lake Shore Drive.  The boundaries of the proposed special assessment district are illustrated on the map printed on the reverse side of this petition.

We, the petitioners, understand that the improvement shall be constructed in accordance with plans for the same to be prepared, reviewed, and approved by the Township Board, and that the costs thereof, including engineering and legal costs, will be assessed against each parcel of land within the proposed district and such assessments may be paid in twenty (20) annual installments of principal, plus interest.

The undersigned have been advised that the cost of the project described above has been tentatively divided on a per parcel basis based on an assessment of $12,150.00 on a per standard residential equivalent basis.  Each of the signatures set forth below in support of the project shall continue to be valid provided that the cost of the project for such undersigned's property identified below does not exceed the estimate by more than fifteen (15%) percent.  If in fact the cost of the project described above does exceed the estimate by more than fifteen (15%) percent then the undersigned's signature supporting the project shall be null and void.
