FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Planning Commission Public Hearing

March 2003 - The Zoning commission has approved the Zoning change!

February 2003 - The Brighton Township Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on 11 March 2003 at 7:30 PM in the lower level of the Township Hall to discuss the rezoning of the lakefront portions of the properties from approximately Meier Flower Shop and Florist to the Shell Station.

Presently those properties are zoned B3 (commercial) are proposed to be rezoned to R4 residential.  This will bring many properties into compliance.  It will also relieve concerns of some property owners that businesses such as marinas could be put into that section.

OWL supports this rezoning as was stated by our president and several board members at the Planning Commission Meeting on 28 January 2003.

Please come out and make your opinions known as this issue directly affects our Lake.
