Sewer Problems roll on
19 September 2003 - Yesterday the Argus / Press reported on yet another sewer related Township Board Meeting.  At that meeting one of our members presented this spreadsheet showing that Brighton Township has the most expensive flush in Michigan!

Accounting Firm Recommends HUGE rate increase for Sewers
15 September 2003 - The Argus reports that the township's accounting firm recommends a rate increase from $72.00 to $190.00 / REU / Quarter.

The Township rezones the shoreline on Grand River Ave.

    Livingston County Communities Designated Urban and are required to meet EPA Requirements
    "It was a bit of a shock when 13 Livingston County communities learned last spring that they had been designated "urban areas" by the U.S. Census Bureau.
    Now, they're hustling to meet a slew of federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements -- the first due March 10 -- designed to protect the water in urban areas from parking lot run-off, lawn fertilizer, industrial contamination and other hazards. "

    02 February 2002 -   In Lieu of our October board meeting OWL met with an attorney in order to clarify several issues.  See the questions we asked and their answers.
    OWL Expresses Opinion on Sewer Odor Issue
    02 February 2002 -   In November the OWL Board was informed by the Township of their intended solution to the Sewer Odor Problem being experienced by Hilton Road Residents.  Following a resolution at the January 2003 board meeting OWL responded with a letter.

    02 February 2002 -   Corrigan-Davis Withdraws there rezoning request in November 2002.  Boy are we late in posting this update!
